		<description>Thanks for setting the record straight.  You&#039;re right on both counts (although I think I get more than 1/4 of the way down on my squat, there is certainly room for improvement!).</description>

		<description>1. Victor Sots was a weightlifter, not a powerlifter.  Weightlifting is an Olympic sport and involves the snatch and clean and jerk, while powerlifting is not, and involves, the squat, bench press, and deadlift.&lt;br&gt;2. Sots presses are done from the bottom position of a full squat, not from a quarter squat position.  If you are unable to perform a full squat, this may be a worthy substitute, but a Sots press it is not.</description>
