Al the Bar-barian

You all should know by now that I love a good physical challenge, and boy did I find one!

There’s a group of guys who call themselves the Bar-barians and they’ve issued a serious challenge to anyone who hopes to join their ranks. The requirements are tough, so it’s a pretty exclusive group.

The challenge consists of:
40 dips
20 pull-ups
50 push-ups
5 muscle-ups

All in under 6 minutes!

Watch the clip below to see if I make it:

    Entirely too much rest.

Agreed. I should be able to do it an under 5 minutes. With better form, too.

    Gotta keep practicing!

…and you're a Bar-barian! That was seriously riveting YouTube, LOL. Needed some musical pageantry at the end, though, like the theme from “Rocky” or the palace trumpets from Star Wars when Leia puts the medal on the Wookie.

Thanks, Jeff! I'll look into getting the rights to the Rocky music. haha :)

thanks ,dude. I started to do these body-weight workout 2 months ago,and I really made big progress, i mean ,i can nearly do a front lever now, but still need more practice. And i am learning about muscle-ups ,since i had a pain in my elbow bone, i always feel the pain when i am trying to transform in the muscle-ups ,could you give me an advice? thanks.

Congrats on your progress! As for the muscle-ups, if something hurts that's often your body's way of telling you to back off. Maybe wait until you build up more strength on pull-ups before coming back to them.

Well you certainly made it look pretty easy! I’ve got nowhere to do the muscle-ups, but managed to finish the first 3 exercises in 10mins (with breaks). Definitely room for improvement!!

It definitely was not easy! They’ve actually added some reps to the requirements, so I am going to have to redo them at some point! Keep training hard and you can get there too.
